Tutorial - Family History: Possible Duplicates

Possible Duplicates - How to solve it?
When you see possible duplicates like the example above, you should check and analyze pretty well if the person is the same as recorded in another family tree. Do not forget to take the time necessary to carefully review each possible duplicate. If it is the same person you can merge by ID.

For this you should follow these steps:
1. Click on the person’s name.
2. A pop up window will open and then click PERSON.
3. Go to the right bottom of the page that opens and then click POSSIBLE DUPLICATES.
4. You will see the list of possible duplicates. Please check if they match or not, do it carefully! Now you will be like a judge to decide if the person is the same or not.
5. Tip: to make things more simple exclude the names that are not matches first, than you will have more time to analyze the more similar ones. Just click on NOT A MATCH and NOT A MATCH again to exclude.
